The sales rep who has earned a “big” commission check has a different look in the eye. They have complete validation of their profession and a confidence never achieved before. They have a truer sense of understanding about the old adage, “Sales people eat what they kill.” Their walk has more bounce, their discussions more profound, and their work style more focused.
Before that check, the spouse was jealous of the extra time spent at work. After the check, that same spouse is constantly asking, “Don’t you have another big deal you can close?”.
